Stockholm in general

So far, I've visited Stockholm twice, once in the snowy depths of February, and in the exquisite summer of July. The main thing to say is, I can't wait to go back! I'm fortunate enough to have a good friend who's lived all her life in the city, and both times I've stayed with her, in her family home around an hour from the main city centre, and in an apartment in the heart of the city, and both experiences have been wonderful. I lived in Stockholm for 2 1/2 years, and although I am English, my family and I found living there a lot easier than other foreign countries which have been graced by us. IF you are in Stockholm for shopping, you HAVE to go to NK department store. THis is the equivalent of Harrods in London. The store is packed with all the Swedish designer clothes and I found when they are on sale the brand 'Miu Miu' and 'Prada' are cheaper than in England Also H & M the high street chain store are much bigger and cheaper in Stockholm. ...buildings and small shops! In Stockholm you can sence a little bit of the eastern Europe,when you see some of the buildings! It is big, but in the same time it is kind of intimate. I've visited Sweden twice and Stockholm once and can confirm that the City is a beautiful one and that it is recommended to anyone wishing to go. All I would say is that it is expensive....and I live in London! and that there doesn't seem to be that much for the younger people to do. There are plently of museums, galleries, etc which by and large does tend to cater for the older generations, but for the younger ones amongst us, the clubs are nothing ...
