    When you get to Sukhothai, there should be only one question on your mind. Do you have enough time to visit the ruins today? If so, go there immediately. If not, get a good night's rest for a change and get out to the ruins early. The ruins are the only thing to see around here, and they are definitely worth seeing. The Sukhothai Historical Park comprises of 21 historical ruins and four beautiful ponds. There are another 70 or so ruins within 5 km of the walls.     Dawn of Happiness,it is a meaning of the name of the first kingdom of Thais -Sukhothai. A main visit of this province should be a historical park, if you are the one who like watching ruins stuffs like me, jus visit it... :)) This park has the ruins of the royal palaces, Buddhist temples,the city gates,walls, and much much more....this park is open daily 8:30 - 16:30 hrs. If you know about Loy-Kra-Thong a candle light festival in Thailand,here is the origin of this festival. This festival is held annually on the full moon night of the 12th lunar month....
