...review with some pictures of Sunset Strip to put the place in context more. I'm staying at The Grafton on Sunset this time but yet again have gone for the mustang convertable...you just can't beat it!!!
Sunset Boulevard is the coolest road on Planet Earth...FACTAMUNDO!!! It has so much history, glamour, imagery and tinsle wrapped up in it that I can hardly type quick enough to tell you all about it!
Even the name Sunset Boulevard has become a part ... ...as the 60's show "77 Sunset Strip" and Andrew Lloyd Webbers musical).
Although the stars of these types of show might all work down the road at the movie studios in Hollywood or the Valley (Glendale area mainly); most of them live in the posh residential neighborhoods of L.A.'s west side such as Beverly Hills, Bel-Air, Brentwood, Hollywood Hills and the Malibu Colony (all of which can be found along Sunset Boulevard).

Advantages: Cool, hip and you may spot a few celebrities! Disadvantages: Expensive, crowded
...one for the adults. The Sunset strip is an institution, so much Hollywood drama has happened on this street, you ahve to go, but go at night and be prepared to party.
If you drive valet at Myagi's sushi restaurant at the top of the strip by Coldwater Canyon. I think it's still only $3 to park for the whole night. Then go into the restaurant, in my opinion they have the best sushi anywhere, their Crunch roll is to die for. Asl to sit on the top floor ... ...dinner head to the Saddleranch, they do some excellent cocktails there. If you are feeling brave you can try riding the mechanical bull int he middle of the restaurant but beware, people will watch you. It's here that I saw David Beckham and Victoria out for dinner one night.
After that head to the SkyBar, buy a drink (very expensive) and go sit out by the pool and people watch. A perfect summer evening thing to do. Then if it's a famous club you're ...
