Advantages: Loads to see Disadvantages: it was quite busy
...Harbour, an attractive area of Sydney with its own unique monorail system. You can also get here by ferry, car (parking available) or take the short walk from the city centre.
Your 'journey' through the exhibits will take you across a range of aquatic Australian habitats, from rivers to mangroves and out into the ocean. As well as having loads of fish, there are platypus, turtles, penguins and a whole lot more. A special seal pool has been constructed ... ...tunnel with glass floor and sides.
There are a couple of other underwater tunnels that allow you to view some mighty impressive sharks, stingrays, eels, and more. There is also a rocky shore exhibition where you can look closely at some smaller little creatures such as starfish. The final exhibition 'recreates' the Great Barrier Reef, this impressed me so much that I headed up north to check out the real thing!!
You will want to spend a few hours ...
