A manor for all seasons

Advantages: Great for conferences
Disadvantages: Not overly romantic...if you want romance!

Tankersley manor On a recent conference, I travelled to Barnsley and stayed in the four star Tankersley Manor Hotel, which is one of the Marston Group of hotels **Getting there** The hotel is situated between Sheffield and Barnsley From North and South-follow the M1 From East-take the M18 then join M1 North towards Sheffield/Leeds From West-take M62. THE BACKGROUND From the outside Tankersley Manor is quite impressive to say the least, standing in its own well maintained Gardens and Grounds and surrounded by Woodland the building itself is a rather imposing Stone built ...
...location. THE FACILITIES Tankersley Manor has a Restaurant, a Health Club and 70 rooms all with en suite facilities. Much of the building has been restored to its original character and there are original Oak beams on the ceilings and Windowsills made from original Yorkshire Stone. All rooms have Satellite TV and tea/coffee making facilities but room service is also available. All rooms also have telephones and both Baths and Showers. Non smoking ...
