...July 2004. We booked with Tapestry because we felt they were a bit more 'up market (although you paid for the priviledge') and we didn't want something touristy. We, by the way, are two thirtysomethings and a 5 year old). All transfers in Tapestry's control were efficient and well handled. The flights were daytime, but 'Monarch' will always be a charter airline. The scrum at Dalaman was on the runway side and entirely not in Tapestry's control. ...

We have visited Kalkan in Turkey twice with them, Pelion in Greece once and twice the Cephalonia. The accomodation has been of a consistently high standard, the services of their resort representative courteous and attentive without being at all overbearing. Transfers have been a delight. ...hotel staff rather than anything Tapestry did. The location of the "resort" (it was very small) was excellent, the place was very unspoilt and lived up to the billing in the brochure. The local beaches were particularly good, which is what we went for. We had great weather, which in September was not guaranteed - so in this respect we were lucky. The hotel staff were excellent, really taking a shine to our daughter and providing anything we asked ...
...So, in the respects where Tapestry could have excelled they provided only an OK service - some things could have been better and the information was a little short. The hotel was not as good as others in the brochure - watch out for this tactic. However, the holiday was good (probably the best package holiday we've been on), which is the main thing. ...

...it dauned on me......... Tapestry charge you a fortune to travel on the worst airline! On arrival we got on a crapy coach. Money saving again. Hotel was OK. Nice vew and location. Good brochure material. However when you drill down its actually very basic. And the hot water didnt work for four days. Nice. And the pool was ice cold and couldnt be swum in. Saving money on chemicals I expect. Hired a car via Tapestry. Big mistake. They parked it ...

...is also a Director of Tapestry although he is Turkish. The other resorts throughout the country are quite upmarket and off the beaten track, avoiding hoardes of other holidaymakers. The trips they organise are never a rip off and very reasonably priced, they will also arrange non published trips if they have enough interest. All the Hotels we have stayed in are excellent, very, very clean, great staff who are nearly always related to the family ...
...make your stay as good as possible as turkish people share their wealth with all members of their family. I have not travelled to Greece with them but I'm looking at Cephalonia for this year. They only fly from Gatwick and Manchester and all flights with the exception of 2 are day flights. Once you have been on holiday with them once you are then entitled to some brilliant repeat customer discounts every year. These consist of two weeks for the price ...

...have been to over 15 Tapestry locations visiting many others during my stay. What can I say Tapestry was a god send - nothing was too much trouble it was more expensive but most definately worth it - especially as if you are a returning customer you get 2 for 1 offers either 2 people for the price of one or 2 weeks for the price of one! So you make your money back so to speak. Anyway there food is divine they only hire the best/friendliest staff ...
...great. But let me mention Tapestry is more of a single/couples holiday less of a family (depending on resort/location). I just want to say what a shame it is that Tapestry ceased trading in July and that I will still be visiting the same accommodation as it was sublime. Thank you for the best holidays I have ever had and that I wish you were still running. ...

Tapestry advertise as small and select ! Really they act more like an arm of a larger company, We had a problem with our room we had booked a double superior room ( we had specifically asked for a double bed not two singles) On checking in the room was two singles, after trying to find the rep we were told she would see us the next day, we waited and basically she was rude and unhelpful we ended up moving hotels to a much smaller room and we had ...
...hotel is now in Tapestry hands. Tapestry just do not have the customer service and on returning we wrote to them, the reply was obvious that they really do not give a damn. We are returning to the same place this year only we are trying to travel idependantly. ...
