Advantages: Thai hospitality, above average legroom
Disadvantages: Not always the cheapest option

...had the pleasure of flying Thai now a few of times and have found it always a pleasure. The staff at check in and on the plane are charming, polite and always have tried to do everything to help. Add to the fact that ( and I know I am being sexist here so apologies ) they have the best looking stewardesses and one of the nicest sounding languages I am just a sucker in their hands. Advantages: Good friendly service, more leg room than most and good food
Disadvantages: sometimes not all cabin crew speak English 100%, no seat back TV's

...a couple of times with Thai International. They have some benefits that other airlines sometimes lack. The main one for me is the extra leg room in economy - they dont squash in extra rows so you can stretch out a bit which is great on a long flight. Also they have more cabin crew than lots of airlines which means better service (although their English is not always up to scratch, they are very keen to serve drinks which is good! ...London to Hanoi return on Thai with my wife and son who, at the time of this journey was just under two. As a Thai student coming here to study, I first left Thailand and flew with Thai Airways. I remembered that I felt really sad and one of air attendents made me feel much better as we were chatting. That was my first impression of Thai Airways. After that I always fly with Thai. The service is pretty good, food are virieties and nice. ...August 2007. Our experience of Thai was fantastic! Check in was easy peasy, and dispite the huge queues they moved quickly and the staff were proficient and quick. The aircraft was a brand new 777 and was immaculate inside, the purple interior was really beautiful and brightened up your day after being stuck in the brown Don Mueng airport for a couple of hours! Disadvantages: No Personal TV in economy, Service without a smile

Thai airways may well look pretty good when compared to most European and American airlines but when up against the likes of Cathy and Singapore it comes a distant 3rd...with room for many more to plonk infront. Flying Economy from Bangkok to Beijing my first shock was "NO PERSONAL TV" AGHHHHHHH...... it's a 5 hour flight and I'm so used to getting my own TV with Cathy and Sing on much shorter flights (in economy) that this was a great dissapointment.... The incredible Thai courtesy showed again when I thanked her in Thai saying "Khob Khun Krub" (Ka is for females) the "kow" (the gesture where the hands are joined as though in prayer and followed a bow with eyes closed)she displayed made me feel a Siam King !! ...with business regularly and use Thai International (TIA). I am now a Gold Member of their Frequent Flyer Scheme (Royal Orchid Plus) and would strongly recommend it to all regular travellers. Advantages: Very comfortable way of travel,good service.
Disadvantages: No back of seat tv screens.

We have flown with Thai airways about 12 times in all.Twice from Heathrow to Bangkok,and various other shorter routes internally.The flight from Heathrow airport to Bangkok airport is a very long flight,12 hours in all.We left a very cold and rainy England at 11 am ,and arrived in hot,steamy ,sunny Bangkok at 6 am the next morning.The flight was very comfortable,although we can never sleep,we are far to excited at the prospect of getting back to one ... I have flown with Thai airlines a few times to Hong Kong and their service is excellent. The food served is varied and of good quality. During the flight I never felt I was in cattle class as I had enough room to relax. The staff were pleasant and attentive throughout the journey and always immaculately turned out.
