Advantages: If you love sealife then you will probably like this Disadvantages: Once you have seen it you have seen it all.
The sealife centre Blackpool is one of our favourite places to go with our daughter Lauretta who is now 8 months old. She loves looking at the fish and taps her fingers on the glass trying to catch a fish then stares in amazement when she realises she can't. We used to take Lauretta when she was just a few months old and she didn't really get a lot out of it. Now however her little facial expressions are worth it. It costs a lot of money if you haven't ... ...pay £2.00 per adult whilst the offer was on. We have used the pass several times and it lets us in as many times as we want to go for free. This pass lasts a year and then we have to renew it.
We love the Sealife Centre, but there isn't that much to see and if your child is older the only thing they may enjoy is playing in the play area that has a ball pool and slide.
We were talking to a lady who had brought her Grandchildren to the sealife centre ...

At fist I almost walked past the ... ...One or two of the bubble displays weren't working. At £9:00 entrance fee for adults, it's about the same as most attractions, and paying for a big family could give your purse strings a fair old tug. But I thought lets give it a chance.
The main access into the centreis via a flight of stairs, but a lift is providedfor disabled and pushchairs. The whole centre has a wheelchair / pushchair friendly layout, with plenty of ramps. So it makes life easier ...

Advantages: Fun if you like fish Disadvantages: If you dont like fish!
...to Blackpool and due to the rain and or strong winds both the top of the tower and the fun (ie high and fast) stuff at the Pleasure Beach are closed. So what else is there to do except glare angrily at the sea as it tries to soak you more than the rain is already doing (which given the wind speeds could actually just be the sea anyway, its coming at you horizontally and tastes suspiciously salty). Well there are the tacky arcades and the numerous ... ...would be the Sealife Centre, although you probably knew that already as thats what im reviewing!
OK the entry to the sealife centre looks like a giant statue of either Titan or Posiedon (choose your favourite seagod, I'm not going to force you either way), and well unless the wind is too strong you'll hear the sounds of 'Under the Sea' (a great help when the sea is actually trying to attack you by climbing over the seawall from where the beach used ...

Advantages: Educational as well as fascinating Disadvantages: Prices could be considered a bit high
...wet and windy days in the resort (and there are a few). Situated on Blackpool promenade it has a bit of an inconspicuous entrance that doesn't really do justice to the attraction. Once inside there is an extensive exhibition of fish and other sealife giving a good two to three hours of fun for young and old. Children can complete the questionnaire which was being handed out when we last visited, making this an educational visit as well as enjoyable. ...
