...daughter, grandson and I visited the Buttercross Tea Rooms in Peterborough Central Park on Thursday.
The Buttercross has been in the park for a few years now, but as I use to live close by never used it as it was easy to go home for a cuppa. It is situated in the very centre of the park and has no competition in the area, even so it is not over priced. It is clean well run by the family and got very busy as it was half term and there where lots ... ...with what we found and the service there.
The owners are Italian, and the staff where extremely kind and efficient.
They have 34 covers, which is enough inside as not that big and table and chairs outside and people where sat outside enjoying the sunshine.
It was 11-30am and on the busy side, but we were served very quickly and efficiently by the staff. Our order was for 2 sandwiches, 1 cheese and onion with salad and 1 ham, no salad, tea, cappuccino, ...
