The Cheesecake Factory

Where Cheesecake dreams are made... On a trip to San Francisco last year, I first discovered the cheesecake factory. There are a number located around America, but the one I am most familiar with is the San Francisco branch that is located on the top floor of Macy’s in Union Square. On entering Macy’s and grabbing the lift, you will find on the button display a large Cheescake factory button. On selecting this, it will take you all the way up the many floors until you reach the top of the building. What can I say about Cheesecake Factory except yum yum yum. If you like Cheesecake this is definitely the place for you. The first Cheesecake factory restaurant was opened in Beverly Hills in 1978. They now have over 130 restaurants in the United States. You can generally find them in main downtown areas as well as some of the casinos in Las Vegas (I believe Ceasars Palace has one). They classify their restaurants as casual dining, characterized by extensive menus, custom lavish decor, generous portions and signature cheesecakes. The Cheesecake Factory is quite a large resturant chain in America. The restaurant located in Orlando is just inside the Mall at Millenia. The mall itself is lovely, so after spending a lot of time (and/or money!) you will need a nice big American meal. The restaurant it self can be quite dark inside and it is quite big so unless it is really busy you can get a table pretty quickly. It is very cosy in there and I think it has really nice decor. The Orlando location for this restaurant chain is located within the Mall at Millenia. The elegant restaurant featues banquette seating and dark wood furniture. Great service is provided by the smart wait staff. The menu is the largest I have ever seen - over 200 hundred items are listed. No-one could ever visit the Cheesecake factory and say that there was nothing on the menu that they fancied! All meals are huge and of excellent quantity. We have been here on a couple of occasions whilst on holiday in Orlando. It isn't the cheapest place to eat, but bear in mind that the meals are HUGE, and they really don't mind you sharing! We found that a meal between two of us was ample, especially if you want to try a cheesecake afterwards. I would highly recommend having a cheesecake here, they are delicious, and again, one between two of you is more than enough. The menu is vast, both for main courses and cheesecakes, so there should be something for everyone. We found the waiter service excellent, very knowledgable and extremely helpful ... more
