...never paid to stay at the Chester Grosvenor myself - but have stayed here for business for at least 6 weeks per year for the past 5 years. Value for money it isnt but if you are not paying then enjoy the ride!

Quick review of The Chester Grosvenor, Chester
A five star hotel should offer good all round service from when you walk in the door as thats what you pay for , but not in my experience of the place!
The reception staff where snooty ( wake up to yourselves, its a tiny hotel in the north west ) we went for a walk returning at 4 pm to find the room not even been cleaned , and when it eventually was they didnt even replenish the naff shower stuff you get in the bathroom.
The most sickenening thing of all was the price of the breakfast...wait for it.. £20 for bacon and eggs.
The ultimate rip off by any standards. One expects a hell of a lot more in a 5 star establishment but not here or in most english hotels. Take a leaf out of american hotels and their customer care, a word of advice...save your money and stay in a travel inn !!!! ...
