Advantages: cheap, lovely rooms, good food, nice staff Disadvantages: possibly too far west
OVERVIEW:
The Commercial Hotel is situated in the tiny village of St Just in the extreme west of Cornwall. It has been run by the same family for over 100 years and is a fantastic place to stay. We recently stayed here for three nights and found it to be a great base for visiting the Cornish scenery and attractions. My only concern would be that it would be a bit too far west, but there is so much to see even when just driving the country roads ... ...The hotel itself is just 1 mile walk from Cape Cornwall, the second most westerly peninsula behind Land's End, which itself is only about 4 miles away. There are many walks that you can do around the area surrounding the hotel and there is so much to see. ROOMS:
I was genuinely impressed and surprised how nice the rooms in the hotel were. Ours was deceptively large, with a huge double bed, ample cupboard space, great view overlooking the marketplace ...
