NICE BUILDING

Built in similar style to the Four Courts but on the opposite side of town - this amazing building could be said to balance the Four courts. Ideally located on Dublin Quays – it is one of the easiest tourist locations to find within this amazing city. Although very little occurs around this building today it was once one of the busiest buildings in the city. beautiful building

Advantages: easy to find
Disadvantages:

...large building is situated on the quays. It is a large building which is rather similar to the Four Courts building which is situated on the opposite side of town but yet again on the quays. This was a key building in Dublin years ago and played a very important role with the importing and exporting of goods into and out of the city. A beautiful building

Advantages: amazing history to this building

...it has been damaged in the War of Independence. Designed by Dublin's renowned architect, James Gandon, the Custom House took almost a decade to build before finally opening for business in 1791. Like many of Dublin's finest buildings and monuments, the building became embroiled in some of the violent incidents that marked the struggle for independence and was destroyed by fire in 1921 during the War of Independence. The visitor centre allows access to the few areas of the building which remain as originally designed by Gandon, including an impressive octagonal area and fine river-front views.
