Advantages: excellent facilities Disadvantages: having to go home
The week before our disasterous trip to the Murrayfield hotel (see my op)my sons rugby team where invited to Ballina county Mayo, for a rugby tournament, as this is three hours drive from where we live we decided that an overnight stay was a must. So a group of very willing parents got together and travelled in a convoy to Southern Ireland.
Prior to our trip I had accessed all the hotels on the net and found the Downhill Inn, I had originally tried ... ...rugby tournament and the fishing competition it was booked out and they referred me to the Downhill Inn.
The Downhill Inn is amongst Mayo's gems - priding itself on offering value for money, excellent service and quality accommodation - this family-owned and managed 3 star hotel is a real treat to discover.
