The Dumb Waiter is situated on Sydney Street part of Brighton's trendy quarter the North Laine. It looks cheap and cheerful from the outside and the welcome you get is equally so.
The decor is quite basic, consisting of wooden seats and tables. There is an upstairs room with an activity room, a garden and some tables and chairs outside at the front so you can dine al fresco if the weather is good. You order your food from the counter and someone ... ...variations of English breakfasts and the good news is that the choices are as generous if you are a veggie or an omnivore. You can also combine ingredients to make your preferred dish if you prefer. Not only that but the portions are very generous and very freshly cooked, those veggie sausages are not some cheapo Quorn excuse and the eggs come from 'rescued' Hens, hooray!
