Apparently members of the Royal family stay at this beautiful hotel situated in downtown Toronto and who could blame them?
This hotel is situated on Front Street opposite Grand Union Station and handy for many attractions - see below. It was once the tallest building in Toronto though is now dwarfed by surrounding towers.

...husband and I stayed at the Fairmont Royal York as part of our honeymoon in April 2005. I can honestly say it was THE most wonderful experience.
From the most ornate hotel lobby that I have ever seen through to the direct link to Toronto's PATH system (an underground shopping centre) this was truly a trip to remember.

Advantages: Absolutely brilliant service and style Disadvantages: The price - unless you get a special deal
...had a great time in the Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver, decided to stay at the Fairmont Royal York. We got a great bed and breakfast package deal on the Fairmont website about 6 months before travelling. The deal vanished the week after booking, and we saved about £50 per night by grabbing it at the right time.
