The Grand Hotel, Eastbourne

If you fancy a few days away near the coast in England but want to stay somewhere just that little bit more grown up and luxurious then this could be the place for you. The Grand hotel in Eastbourne is an Agatha Christie type hotel. You draw up on the drive and there is someone there offering to take your bags. When you walk in, you walk into a wonderful high ceilinged cavernous public area where the seating is arranged around fireplaces, paintings adorn walls and flowers decorate tables.
