The Grosvenor Pulford Hotel, situated in the village of Pulford, in between Chester and Wrexham was slightly dearer, but did look intriguing. At the point of booking, the rate on their own website was the same as that of laterooms, and therefore, I booked directly on-line with the hotel, in the hope of avoiding the problems I typically have getting a smoking room when using laterooms, HUH!
BOOKING
This was completed on-line at their ... ...extra to stay at the Grosvenor Pulford compared to many hotels I've used, but this is compensated by sensible food prices. There is a restaurant, Ciros Brassiere, but there are also bar / room service menus where you can have a high quality meal for under £10. Advantages: Great facilities, welcoming staff Disadvantages: Hard to think of any
I visited the Grosvenor Pulford in September 2007 for a quiet weekend away with my girlfriend. We had a great time here and I would definitely recommend it to others seeking a quiet getaway. It is situated between Chester and Wrexham and is very easy ti find.
We wanted to go to Chester and so I would firstly say that if you do not have a car then this could prove difficult as it is not in the centre of Chester and I can't say I saw a lot of buses ... ...I would definitely recommend the Grosvenor Pulford although I will say shop around as there are vastly different rates quoted by different sites and it is possible to get a bargain. I went through ebookers and got an excellent rate for 3 nights - I paid just over £200 (I believe it was 211) total for me and my girlfriend ...
