...when I first dined there, The Merlin is actually part of the Vintage Inns chain of pub/restaurants that are located in over 180 locations across the UK. The Vintage Inns state that they offer “traditional home-style cooking – with a contemporary twist” – and I must say from what I’ve seen on my visits I’m quite pleasantly surprised.
