Advantages: beautiful building,has great shows,good local parking,snacks&drinks Disadvantages: Could utilise its building more at 'no show time'
My first ever visit to the Palace Theatre was rather a long time ago...thirty five years ago to be exact. Even now things hav'nt changed much..One would have thought that they would have done...especially since the arts council have spent a couple of million doig it up. When I first went to the Palace it was to watch a christmas panto, but the palace launches far more extravagent shows than that these days.
The palace theatre , which has been brought ... ...a lavish theatre which extolls the best from its players.
Its accoustic capabilities are far greater than many other theatres of similar size and visiting this great listed building leaves one feeling nothing but admiration for its staff,who are always on hand to help.
The Palace Theatre I am sure will continue to host all the best shows,plays,pantomimes and concerts in the Northwest, for some-time to come. There are ample food facilities and a ...

Advantages: Has Disabled parking outside the theatre & good access Disadvantages: Disabled toilets not supervised for disabled users only during the interval

I had given the close friend who asked several suggestions & left them to choose & get the tickets.
My birthday arrived & I was driven to Manchester's Palace theatre for the musical "Miss Saigon".
We planned to arrive with relaxing time to enjoy the newly refurbished surroundings as the Palace Theatre had been refitted back in the summer of 2005.
A very friendly doorman met us on our arrival, eagerly opened up the disabled front ... ...balcony, shown them & where the disabled toilets were & then left to have pre show relaxing drinks & mince pies in the first floor bar. My ever observant eye for disabled facilities was quick to note that one level of the bar was at wheelchair height so I could have ordered my own drinks if I was not being looked after capabley by the friend who takes me out.
On reaching our seats before curtain up we were approached by the staff to get us a programme ...
