Advantages: Loads to do, you will never feel bored. Disadvantages: After a while it does begin to feel like a 1980's Vegas hotel.
...to South Africa, staying at the Palace for two nights was one of the things I was looking forward to the most.
I had read so much about it before the trip and in every picture, it looked just like a fairy tale castle.
I have to admit that when we drove through the gates of Sun City, I was amazed at just how big the resort was. It really is a town in it's own right. It felt like it took us ages to get to the Palace, but when we went up the drive ... ...really looked spectacular, just like the fairy tale castle I had imagined.
The first thing you see is the beautiful fountain infront of the foyer. Is is pretty spectacular, with bronze water bucks leaping from the water. The foyer itself is massive and must be around two story's high. The rooms are a pretty good size and tastefully decorated, however, the bathroom is half the size of the bedroom itself.
