Advantages: Breathtaking views, enclosed skydeck, 360 degrees view Disadvantages: long queues on certain days, bad visibility on cloudy days
...attraction if visiting Chicago for the first time..there are the most breathtaking views of the whole of chicago from the worlds second tallest building.......It is situated on South Wacker Drive and close to rail stations and bus routes..
The Sears Tower is 443 metres high and on a clear day you can see four states ..Illinois, Indiana, Wisconsin and Michigan....Visibility from skydeck is 40-50 miles(65-80 km).....The average sway is 6 inches.......The ... ...the fastest in the world and your ears really pop because you go up so fast....Just under a minute and we were at the top - the elevator does shake though as you go up which can be a bit unnerving...
It is open daily from 10am and until 10 pm from May to September...The rest of the year it is open until 8pm...
We visited Chicago in January which was really picturesque as it was snowing.....we went to the Sears Tower on a Sunday morning after breakfast ...
