    This is a pub which I return to over and over again when I have a special occasion as the food is really good quality but quite pricey. I've celebrated my graduation here, my grandparents' 80ths and my engagement as it's the sort of restaurant that you don't just go to every day! The location: This pub is set on the road between Kendal and Windermere (The back road as locals call it) The B5284 to be precise!     I stumbled across this pub by mistake really! My husband and I were driving the'scenic' route between kendal and windermere and we stumbled across this pub so thought we'd give it a go seeing as we were hungry. On first impressions it looked good as the car park was full and the bar area was bustling. We had to wait a while for a table despite it being a Thursday night! Staff were very polite and accommodating, they soon found us a table and presented us with a menu.
