    I stumbled across this pub when I went for a walk around the country park Pugneys and have since kept returning as it is so friendly and the food is lovely. Location. The Swan and Cygnet is located just outside of Wakefield, about a 10 minute drive from the centre and is with a Business park. Opposite the business park is the country park- Pugney's and so it is ideally located for a nice family day as you can retire to the pub for some lunch after a walk around the lake at Pugneys.     We decided to go to the pub on Sunday for the first time since having our 8 month old baby. We had seen the restaurant everytime on the way to Asda. It was very busy but looked very homely. We found a table, but the problems began then. We tried to get our son into the high chair and found difficulty getting it to sit up right. Also the straps were so filthy i had to wrap them in tissue before he could get in it. We all are vegetarians and because Sunday is mostly carvery we chose from the main menu.
