...weekend in Blackpool and found The Waldorfe Hotel on the internet it looked very nice. Seventy eight pounds a night with breakfast for the two of us in a double en suite room was just about the right price that we were prepared to pay. We arrived at tea time on the Friday night and found the Waldorfe on the right hand side of the front passed the Pleasure Beach, not a bad spot to be and we were going to be given a sea view so I was quite pleased ... ...street parking was provided at the back of the hotel so we decided to park up first then walk round to check in at reception. Parking in Blackpool is a nightmare so it was an added bonus the hotel having a car park. The hotel had one of those old fashioned turning doors it would have impressed me slightly more if they had repaired it, what a battle to get it to turn I think it had seen better days, still not a major complaint.
