...treating ourselves by staying in the infamous White Hart Hotel. All the time that we used to live in Lincoln this hotel was well known for it's so-called excellence and you had to be 'somebody' to be able to afford to stay there so when it came to our anniversary we thought we would really splash out and have a luxurious weekend in this hotel. ...is why they can charge the prices they do. The hotel is steeped in history and you can tell just by looking at the building of it's age and the stories it could tell if it could. ...boasted about it's history and the location and it sounded ideal although quite pricey! We booked a double room and managed to get a special offer of £140 for dinner, bed and breakfast and it looked like a good deal. When we arrived our first impressions were that it was indeed old! It is painted white and you can tell just by looking at it that the building is hundreds of years old. It is set on Steep Hill which is the really nice touristy section ...
