The Wooden Fender is a rural pub situated in the village of Ardleigh just a few miles outside Colchester. It is located on the Colchester Road, Ardleigh and was built in the 14th century. Wednesday 12th November 2008 Four of us had an EXCELLENT 3 course lunch at £9.95 per head. Choice was half-a-dozen starters, half-a-dozen main courses and around 16 (yes 16) sweets - many were home-made. Service was very good and non-intrusive.
