The Spa itself is situated very close ... ...you are unfamiliar with Bath the easiest option to travel into the centre is using one of the 3 park and rides, as parking within reach is at a premium and if you are going to be spending a relaxing few hours you don't want to be worrying about your parking ticket.

Advantages: Great for a relaxing weekend treat! Disadvantages: Can get expensive! Teething problems.
...in to the brand new Thermae Baths for the afternoon. The Thermae Baths opened the weekend before our visit and had been shown on TV all week so we expected it to be of a very high quality. In 1997 the Millennium Commission awarded a 7.78 million grant towards the restoration of Bath Spas. This money has gone towards creating the Thermae Baths the first bath sin the world were you can bathe in natural spring waters. OUR EXPERIENCE:
On Saturday at ... ...Thermae Baths for our two hours Spa Session. The session was to start at 3pm and the length of the cues outside the Spa shocked us when we arrived. We soon realised one cue was for bookings and the other were for pre-bookings. We got ourselves in the pre- booked cue and began to wait. Advantages: Don't know Disadvantages: Impossible to actually book anything
I'd like to say how great it was, but I had such enormous problems booking that I gave up and haven't been.
I could never get through on the telephone number (always in a queue for what felt like hours and hours) so emailed instead.
It took them five days to reply to my first email saying yes they had some availability and attached a booking form.
I replied immediately. Four days later they finally get back to me to say they're full. I've emailed ... ...their woeful bookings process, but (not surprisingly) have not heard back. I mean, what sort of customer service is that?
They're obviously so popular with tourists that they don't need to bother meeting the needs of people who, given the chance, would become repeat customers. Very poor. ...
