Advantages: Location, location, cheap deals oh and did I mention location Disadvantages: Everything else
The Bloomsbury Park is a Thistle Associate Hotel and so I expected a high standard having stayed in one of the groups hotels before.
The hotel is just off Russell Square with easy Tube access via Holburn or Russell Square stations. The room I had the mispleasure of staying in was on the 2nd floor toward the rear of the hotel, dark and dingy was the best attribute the room had to offer as this hid the multitude of poor maintainence and bad decor. ... ...very watery tomatoes.
Overall, If you want a cheap and not so cheerful hotel to use as a base for exploring the capital then the Thistle Bloomsbury Park Hotel may be for you.
However if you can stretch your budget a little further then I would recommend to keep looking. ...
