Thistle Kensington Palace, London

I have just stayed there 14/09-16/09 for 2 nights on a weekend break through Superbreak and it deserves its 2 star rating. The room rate was starting from £160.00, I don't think that was anywhere close to what the price should be. As tends to be the case the entrance and front of house is very nice and does have a luxourious feel to it. Nice couches and chairs, welcoming smiles from staff, lots of mirrors, new carpets. The neagtives I'll start with a small one, a Snickers wrapper was left on a landing for the two days we were there, I would have picked it up but wanted to see if any staff did, they didn't, it was in a very obvious place. The walls seemed to have been papered recently and they have made quiet a good job, but all the corridor cupboard doors have a leatherette cladding, the ones on our corridor were very obviously peeling ...
