Advantages: CheapER than normal airlines, Nice Looking Planes! Flights are on time usually! Meals are good! Disadvantages: No Legroom, Poor Air Quality,

However, the legroom is appalling on holiday flights with TCA, you cannot move your legs at all. The air is very stuffy and at times you find yourself making the extra effort to breathe!!! The meals on the airline are good for airline meals, they offer vegetarian, vegan and normal options. The cabin crew are also very good and are only ... ...desks are usually plentiful so there is never a large queue. I have never had a delay with them and the planes are always spotless!!
On board then offer a childrens film on the way and then a more adult film on the way back, they are generally new releases! I recently flew Thomas Cook Airlines to Toronto from Birmigham and found that they were much better than i expected. After reading several negative reviewsa bout the airline i was hesitant on flying with them but after the flight i was proved wrong. Check in was qucik and easy, and the aircraft was modern. I was really pleased with the aircraft because after flying with My Travgel Airways to Toronto on a previous occasion from Manchester, the aircraft ... ...flight had a lot if in-flight entertainment with over 40 channels on the tv, a playstation to cure bordem, and over 20 movies playing. But my favourite feature was the webcam that allowed you to zoom down on the view from the window and cockpit. This was a brilliant feature as when flying over downtown Toronto, we got a great view of the CN Tower and could nearly see the people inside!!!

...to tenerife form Birmingham with Thomas Cook and so i am in a position to comment on their service.
There were delays on both outbound and inbound flights. 14 suitcases were lost on our outbound flight. The company policy is that if one bag is lost the whole cohort on the plane must wait whilst it is found or the forms filled out. This wasted 3hrs of our holiday going there. On the return journey we had a 'security threat' and 3 passengers refused ... ...row by row to identify their bags on the runway then we all had to get back o again. Grown men were in tears and no attempts were made to explain the situation properly about the so called security risk.
Overall, the service was very poor. The cabin crew are a nuisance and make no attempt to sort out difficult situations due to poor trianing. The planes are cramped and have little leg room and aisle space. All they are good for is getting you there ...

Never having flown with this airline I was expecting the level of attention and punctuality usual to British holiday airlines. This was it appeared mostly a holiday type service after all. Advantages: Polite and professional crew Disadvantages: Its a charter flight
...charter airlines and not just Thomas Cook - the cost of all the extra's.
I roughly worked out that if you request an extra leg room seat, meal, headset and had a couple of drinks each way, wine etc.. this could all come to around 40 pounds plus for return journey. It seems that anything that moves they will charge you for. I wonder what the next wheeze will be - they are already touting scratch cards.

Thomas Cook are awful! Flight delayed both ways - they lost all of our luggage and were useless in recovering it. I wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy!
The Customer service is also non existent - after landing there was little if any useful information and we were never informed of the reasons as to why we were so delayed. Particularly annoying as rival airlines flights were leaving on time in both cases so i really don't know why Thomas Cook ...

...returned from Orlando flying with Thomas Cook. I paid for the four of us travelling to sit together which I think is unfair. Ar £20 per person, it soon adds up. Also the luggage allowance is awful. 15KG on the way out if fine but as Orlando has many offers, this is nowhere enough for the return leg. I did purchase the extra 5KG but this was still not enough. The check in staff are not employed by Thomas Cook and can be rude. Your seats are already ... ...a mistake on the meals. The in-flight enterainment is OK but have to pay £5 if you want to upgrade to watch better films, also they have the same programmes on both the outgoing and incoming flights. Overall, I would not recommend Thomas Cook for long haul flights. ...

It took all day friday27/09/06 to be finally advised by a supervisor(after we had requested we talk to one in person) that we would have to take our invoice and obtain tickets at check-in on 05/10/06.

...the aisles with a face liked it had been slapped with a wet fish.
I even actually heard the cabin crew moanig about some passengers.
plane was dirty aswell!!!
If that hasnt put you off thomas cook airlines i dont know what will!!!

Advantages: great holiday firm never had an issue with actual holiday Disadvantages: terrible website, never once worked for me.
i have been on the thomas cook website many times and as yet it has never once managed to search for a holiday correctly or ever actually given me any siggestions. it simply crashes at the earlyist possible chance. the site is poorly constructed and needs seriously updating to win me back. whats frustrating is i would use them again if not for this, their holidays are superb. just the website is terrible. use the travel agents and get a professional ...
