...i booked through.
I have used Thomas Cook twice now and i have found them to be very good, i personally have had no problems with them, had to chase them up on a few things but nothing major. The guide book best to show the resort we went to is Carribean Holidays by Virgin Atalntic.

...about holiday browsing on the Thomas Cook website was 'the prices on here are just going to be up in the air somewhere' - but I was wrong, I got a pleasent little suprise......
In February this year, I had looked at every single holiday web site I could possibly think of - and found a holiday to Argassi in Zante for the Windmill Bay Apartments, it really took my fancy - I initially found it through the Mytravel web site who list all the holidays ...

Advantages: FANTASTIC WEBSITE BUT IF YOU HAVE TO TELEPHONE Disadvantages: THE STAFF CAN TRY TO PERSUADE YOU A LITTLE TOO MUCH
...inveterate holiday-goer, I generally use Thomas Cook's website to find hotels, apartments, and special late deals, mainly because it's easy to navigate and is more informative than most. www.thomascook.co.uk.
ADVANTAGES:
The Thomas Cook website is one of the best I've used for holidays (I am assuming here that everyone knows how to get around the internet as Ciao is web-based!). Filling in details such as number of people, travel destination, ...

...holidays have been booked through Thomas Cook, and if that's not an indication of a good company, I don't know what is. Here's a summary of the (many) good points and (fewer) bad points I've found.
The Good :
Although the chain is a large one, they have many smaller branches rather than fewer larger ones which gives a more homey atmosphere. Case in point : along Market St in Manchester (which later turns into the Piccadilly approach) there ...

Advantages: Very good quality and staff knowledge, shops are everywhere Disadvantages: Slightly expensive
...Look no further than Thomas Cook. As the founders of the package holiday, Thomas Cook have the edge when it comes to choosing those weeks in the sun, or on the sea, or in the jungle or in Paris or…. The list goes on. In my usual style I will dissect and inspect each section of Thomas Cook, starting with…

Advantages: Cheap. Disadvantages: No space to sit down.
...on a plane chartered by Thomas Cook for a Saga (over 50s package holiday company) holiday tour. Every other person on our flight was over 50 and because it was a charter flight, there were an extra 12 rows of seats which means that you have no leg room and are not allowed to lower your seat (although nobody told us this until we did, and were hissed at by several octogenarians).
Check before you fly and if possible, book a seat near the front of ...

We recently travelled with Thomas Cook and found them refreshingly good. With a recent poor experience with Going Places we were reluctant to book with any travel agent again but Thomas Cook restored some faith in travel agents with us.
Their staff were friendly and seemed very well trained. They found us a holiday with JMC at short notice and followed through their service quickly and efficiently. Our holiday destination was unknown until we arrived ...

Advantages: Good holiday company and very helpful Disadvantages: None
...I had never booked with Thomas Cook until a couple of years ago.
Reason being is I had always been told they were expensive.
It appears nowadays one holiday firm is the same as any other so it blows that theory clean out of the water.
They are always very busy when I go in there so that too is a good sign!
Recently I booked the holiday of a lifetime for my honeymoon.
To make it a bit different, we wanted to spend a bit of time talking it ...

If you click on the ‘Foreign Exchange’ button on the left hand side of the screen - which may take a while to load 'cause it's a big site - you will be transported to a magical place that charges you 0% commission on your currency exchanges!

...to book our honeymoon through Thomas Cook Signature Holidays last year. We chose an idyllic holiday to Singapore and Bali departing the day after our wedding and Thomas Cook was only too helpful to take our booking.
However we would like to express the severe disappointment and unprofessional treatment we experienced both before and during what was supposed to have been the holiday of a lifetime.
We booked the holiday over a year before our ...

I turned to Thomas Cook because I was fed up with being treated by an idiot by the tour operators themselves. I have travelled with Thomas Cook before and was pleasantly surprised, especially as they made me a Privilege Member on return from holiday. I let this lapse and had forgotten all about it.
Anyway, I telephoned my local Thomas Cook, having decided that I would book with them if they could get even close to the quote I'd been given by the ...

Advantages: helpful, freindly Disadvantages: price, late deals don't exist
I have booked via a thomas cook agency on a number of occasions and have always found the staff helpful and more than ready to throw brochures at me.
Indeed we have had some quite complicated arrangements to make at times and they have always managed to deliver what we wanted.
The prices have been good but now I think by shopping around you can get a better deal.
Thse only problem is common to most travel agencies in that the late deals advertised ...

I would recommend Thomas Cook to anyone who wishes to book a holiday, or simply their flights, hassle free. They were brilliant with us when we booked, cancelled and then re-booked with them, providing a service which was just what we needed at that time. We booked through their website and found it easy to navigate and very user friendly. The confirmation e-mail arrived immedicately after processing and the tickets days afterwards, now waiting aroud ...

...the Telford, Shropshire, branch of Thomas Cook.
Whenever I have used them they could not have been more helpful. Their aim seems to be to ensure that you get the holiday YOU want, not sell you any-old holiday to boost their commision.

...holiday through a Travel Agent, Thomas Cook is the one to use. Their whole attitude from start to finish is refreshing - nothing seems to be too much trouble. I was quite specific on what I was looking for and took up 90 minutes of the rep's time but she wasn't satisfied until she located exactly the deal I was looking for. I've used them twice before after terrible experiences with other operators and would never consider going anywhere else now. ...
