There's a statue of Thomas Cook outside Leicester railway station which I walk past whenever I catch a train. I've only booked one holiday with them but I found their service to be friendly and quick. We saw a late deal in the window which was still available once we went inside - on previous occasions with other travel agents I have found that the deals on display are unavailable. Due to fly Sunday morning, received a telphone call on the Friday afternoon to say that the seating arrangement online hadn't been transfered over for 46 people, so 46 people had nowhere to sit on the plane. When arriving at our hotel in Gran Canaria, we were summoned to a meeting with our rep and told about the different excursions that were to take place if we were interested. We were told about a day of searching for whales and dolphins on a glass bottom boat. It sounded a great day out and even more so when we were told that the price included a meal and free bar! We paid Thomas Cook £650.00 to get married in cuba, the wedding planner at hotel playa coco in cuba told us they recieved £300.00 of this fee. Although we wanted something simple as we have both been married before I would not recommend this package to anybody looking for "the big day" We were married on the beach, our photos and video are marred by the stacked sunloungers that we were assured would be moved underneath an alarmingly unstable "arch" The notary was a lovely man, the hotel, its staff and service were thoroughly sub-standard-NOT RECOMMENDED!
