Thomson Holidays

We booked to go on a thomsons holiday August 2005 to spain from birmingham. The holiday several problems. The outbound flight was delayed and we were told a coach was collecting us to take us to manchester airport. The thomsons staff never told us when they were coming, where we were being picked up from and where to collect our suitcases from to take them to manchester. Bad customer service there. We were told we leave as soon as we all were checked ...

When it is holiday time a good place to book is with thompson, as I have used them all the time and they have a very good range and a very good service and they seem to care about you having a good time rather than how much cash they can get from you and Most of their accomodation is located as near to the resort centres as they can arrange Britannia is the main arline that Thompson use and they are really good too. I have just returned from Gran Canaria. I had a wonderful time and it was all helped along by the fantastic people at Thompson. The reps were always clean, tidy and helpful . All the accommodation and the resorts are always to the highest possible standards, I also found out that Thompson have such a high level of health and safety that they cancel contracts with the natives to protect the clients. We have just booked with Thompson, we are going to the Dominican Republic, the total cost is £1413.20 we were asked to pay the full amount but then told we could pay a deposit, we paid the deposit and when our booking form arrived we were charged and extra 2% we were not told about, when we asked why we were told if we did not like it we could cancel but would then loose all of our deposit, head office were not interested at all, in fact we were ...

I've just decided to try and get an inexpensive holiday, so picked up a Thompson Price Breaker Brochure. I thought some of the prices were good but when you ring up the price goes from £185 to £272 plus £35 supplement not to mention insurance of £38. Does anyone else know why they advertise a holiday at such a low price but when you try to book the price has suddenly gone up that much.
