Toronto top 10 for kids
Review of Toronto (Canada) by Quakerman

Advantages: A great city for kids
Disadvantages: Can be very hot or very cold

...to thinking about what makes Toronto so special for kids. Here, in no particular order, are my top ten tips. This review assumes that you have already traveled to Toronto and found a place to stay, so I won't go into those details. THE CN TOWER The CN Tower is obviously Toronto's most visible landmark. As the tallest free-standing structure in the world, it could hardly be otherwise. Sadly, this was one site that we only saw from the bottom, ... Read review

Toronto is brilliant
Review of Toronto (Canada) by ginger59

Advantages: laid back people, things to see, interesting shopping, Niagara Falls, good exchange rate
Disadvantages: a lot of homeless people around, very weak coffee

...partner and I went to Toronto in July 2006. It was to be the first part of our holiday and then we were flying to visit my partner's brother in Albany, New York State. We booked our tickets through lastminute.com and got a really good deal- it was a three legged journey; Manchester to Toronto, Toronto to Albany and then Albany to Toronto ,and Toronto back to Manchester. For 2 tickets we paid £1600. I did a lot of research on the internet before ... Read review

Toronto in Autumn
Review of Toronto (Canada) by elspeth334

Advantages: Plenty to do
Disadvantages: none

...is home to the famous Toronto Blue Jays a major league baseball team and also the Argonauts a Canadian Football team. It is absolutely huge and is the venue for all sorts of sporting events and concerts and is famous for its retractable roof. We did the tour round the stadium and this was much more to my sons liking. Ontario Science Centre This is a great place with lots of hands on displays, there is everything from planes to computers, drive ... Read review

In search of haunted Toronto
Review of Toronto (Canada) by ajfoster

Advantages: Lots of ghosts, good food, pretty money, a good variety of attractions
Disadvantages: Butter tarts and poutine are fattening

...to write about them. Toronto is Canada's largest city, with a thoroughly diverse population and over 200 years of history. Articles can be found on everything from the geological manipulation of its shorefront to early 20th century commercial architecture to ethnic gay cuisine. My interest is in its history and ghost folklore. This great city is rich in both of these areas. After spending almost a week in Toronto, I'd like to introduce other inquiring ... Read review

Toronto in February
Review of Toronto (Canada) by ZoltanLouis

Advantages: Great city and sights, very friendly people
Disadvantages: Very cold, burritos

...all you don’t go to Toronto in February and expect to get a suntan, do you? Like a little boy on Christmas Eve, I was so excited. Seeing a new city, a new country I could hardly contain myself as a waited by the conveyor belt for my suitcase to come around. Waiting for suitcases always makes me a little nervous, my memory returns to a particularly embarrassing holiday to Majorca with my Mum and Dad. When everyone on the aircraft had disembarked ... My Capital City
Review of Toronto (Canada) by sleepyhead123

Advantages: canada's new york city
Disadvantages: none

Toronto may not be Canada's capital, but it's sure mine. After several trips, and haivng finally settled there, this is a review about my capital. Toronto is Canada's business capital and a capital of family attractions. WHERE TO GO Ther are plenty of attractions in Toronto, one of them being the staggeirng CN Tower, which stands at 1, 815 ft and is said to be the worlds tallest building but i have reaosn to believe that the one in Malasia ... Gay and Lesbian Toronto (An Overview)
Review of Toronto (Canada) by edvideos

Advantages: Places to go, people to see
Disadvantages: none

...Gay and Lesbian visitors to Toronto a bit of an overview of what to expect and where to expect it. Toronto is many things to many people but it is the incredibly tolerant home to many diverse cultures and peoples. As a result, the gay community in Toronto is a large and thriving one and reflects the cultural and political makeup of the entire population. Although queer-friendly spaces exist all over the city, there is one main area in town, ... Read review

Review of Toronto (Canada) by cate_wheatley

Advantages: Diversity, cheapness(!), shopping, public transport
Disadvantages: Weather (too hot or cold!)

...of the few hostels in Toronto - Global Village Backpackers - and had an immense time. The vast range of things to do in T.O means you can choose your activity to suit your pocket and suit the holiday you want. Must do's: A visit to the world renowned Eaton Centre (Yonge Street) for fantastic shopping, eating and generally hanging out. Ontario Science Centre (north of downtown) for an educational but (and trust me when I say this) totally ... Read review

Toronto Downtown Bed and Breakfast
Review of Toronto (Canada) by Piper18

Advantages: Attention to detail
Disadvantages: We didn't stay long enough!

Amazing! Words cannot express how wonderful our stay was at this B&B. Roger and Jim made us feel like royalty from the minute we opened the door to the minute we left. We stayed with Rog and Jim for two nights before touring, and then for another two nights on our return. It was the best start and end to our trip to Canada. The B&B is actually about 1 hours walk from the real "downtown" that you'd imagine to be the heart of the city. However, ... Read review

Toronto- Reality Check
Review of Toronto (Canada) by loadofcobblers

Advantages: Toronto Islands are rather nice, safe streets.
Disadvantages: Boring, extreme weather, stuck up people

Toronto is alright for a day or two, but any longer and it would start to wear very thin. Considering it has a population of over 4million people, it's very boring and has few attractions. The CN tower is OK, but let's face it, it's just a very tall concrete tower with a restaurant at the top. Not exactly the Eiffel Tower. You'd do well to stretch more than an hour from the experience, especially as it's usually infuriatingly packed. The ROM ... Read review

Trip to Toronto (Canada)
Review of Toronto (Canada) by Elizabeth1427

Advantages: Great Shopping
Disadvantages: Go to May - September

I had nine days in Toronto and found it rather too long to stay there especially as it was November and very cold. Shopping is fantastic with lots of Outlet Malls around the outskirts of the city. You must see an Ice Hockey Game while you are there just for the crowd experience. Found the underground pathways helpful but confusing and took a little while longer to get used to it. Stayed in the Fairmont Royal Hotel which was traditional and four stars. ... Read review

Great place to visit or live
Review of Toronto (Canada) by Phooey

Advantages: Good clean living
Disadvantages: Too cold in the winter

...is overlooked the most is Toronto in Ontario, Canada. It's most famous claim to fame is the CN Tower, the worlds tallest free standing structure. But Toronto is much more than just a tower. Summer in Toronto is about as pleasant as it gets. Sunshine, warm temperatures and friendly people are in addition to the low crime rates, great restaurants and scenic beauty in Canada's largest city. Sports fans have everything from the Blue Jays baseball ... Read review

A great city, being ruined by the right
Review of Toronto (Canada) by cypress

Advantages: Was great
Disadvantages: Being ruined by right-wing Tories

Toronto is a great place - at least WAS a great place, until the right-wing Tory premier Mike Harris came into power, waging war on the poor and disadvantaged ever since. I lived there for several years and I barely recognise it now, it's really shameful. For tourists, I can suggest the regular: CN Tower - a big tall tower with a very scary glass lift; make sure you stand on the glass floor once you're up there! Eaton Centre - a huge shopping centre. ... Read review
