...called Champs de Mars – Tour Eiffel which as the name suggests, is very close to the Tower. Off we tottered trying to find it. It wasn’t difficult considering you can actually see the huge tower for miles around! All cameras came out tourist-stylee ready to snap at all angles of it. I prepared myself to see the awful tower for the first time, eyes wide, camera at the ready…and we turned the corner to be greeted by the huge, sturdy, ...

...French do do better.
The Tour Eiffel, constructed for 1889’s Universal Exhibition dominates the parc du Champs-de-Mars on the banks of the Seine. Designed by engineer Gustav Eiffel, hence the name, it stretches up for over 300m, and at the time was the tallest building in the world. Even after September 11th, it is still no where near close to reclaiming this title however.

The second floor............
Now were getting serious, this level is 125 metres above the ground and is rather windy and cold come to think of it. This floor is much smaller than the first because obviously the tower is getting smaller in width. The other sights are much further away and more difficult to make out but you can see more of them nevetheless including the Louvre museum ...

...husband and I visited la tour Eiffel at night, having previously visited it in the middle of a hot summer day. I thought, a night visit would be quite different, the night scene would be a nice change and the crowds will not be so bad. Upon reaching the Eiffel Tower, I wasn't wrong in my assumptions because it was quite deserted and we had a fabulous time!

The Eiffer Tower (La Tour Effiel) is the most important monument of Paris, and the Symbol of the Ligh and Love city, although if you go to Paris, there is no much illumination lol.
Eiffel Tower is 324m long, the weigh is 10000 tones, in summer it can be 18 cm taller than in summer because of the high temperatures in metals
The tower was built because of the expo 1889, by Gustave Eiffel, he wanted to use the tower as a big gate to go into the ...

Advantages: cheap to visit, great views of paris, one of the most popular attractions Disadvantages: lengthy queues
If you visit Paris its almost rude not to go up the Eiffel tower. Those of you who have read my other reviews on Paris will know I went there last summer for a few days……and yes I did venture up the Eiffel tower.
History:
The Eiffel tower was built by the contractor Gustave Eiffel in 1889 and is 118 years old. It took only two years two months and five days to build, which is quite remarkable considering the height of the tower, the weight of ...

Advantages: A magnificent structure with manificent views. Disadvantages: Queueing and annoying salespeople.
The Eiffel Tower is the ultimate attraction in France and certainly it does not fail to amaze. On flying into the airport (Charles de Gaulle) I got a glimpse of the Eiffel Tower and at first I thought it was smaller than I had imagined.
Yet, the next day we set off. It is really simple to get there by metro and from the station it only takes 5 minutes to walk there. It is well signposted. You are probably thinking what a nutter I am - surely I ...

Advantages: dominates paris skyline Disadvantages: expensive to go up
The eiffel tower must be one of the most strange monuments ever built. But it is truely magnificent when you are stood looking up at it.
The tower dominates the Paris skyline and is a must when you visit. However it is not a cheap place to go. To be honest I found it better to stand at the bottom and munch on a crepe than going up although the views are spectaular.
Do go there but maybe don't go up I guess
And the general area surrounding the ...

Advantages: Amazing Views, great experience Disadvantages: A little pricy, can be very busy.
I suppose it would seem hard to write a decent review about a landmark that is so well documented and features in just about every movie filmed in France ever.
i know that you will have seen pictures of it and perhaps seen one of the many movies: View to a kill, Le Divorce etc and I am sure that you have really grasped the true size of the thing. It is absolutely emormous and seems to climb for ever.
We visited it on the 21st of June 2006. ...

Advantages: Spectacular views Disadvantages: Not good if you are scared of heights
If you are visiting Paris then the Eiffel Tower has to be visited.
The views of Paris were spectacular especially from the second level. We took our 2 children up but be careful of the lifts because you are very tightly packed in and they nearly got squashed.
We also did not find the prices to be expensive and thought that 17 francs to enter to be good value.
Standing underneath the tower we found the prospect of climbing it daunting, but our ...

the eiffel tower is the unquestioned sight of paris. there is nothing else like it in the world (aart from the copy of it the french gave to the americans a while back) and it is deservedly he focus of attention in paris. you can go up by foot (to the 2nd level) or by elevator to the top, but in both cases the queues are usually very long and the prices very very very expensive. i prefer to stay on the ground and marvel at the spectacle from different ...

I heard of Eiffel Tower's twinkles of lights stop after the july 14th. Then, I had the opportunity to take photos from the "Lady of Paris" in night, with all its lights.
If you want to see a last time, these ephemeral stars, then hurry up to come. Many people come each night to admire "her".
These thousand and one stars (I didn't count...) twinkle during few minutes, at 10 PM ans at 11 PM each night, at nightfall.
In summer, sky is still light ...

Advantages: Magnicient view Disadvantages: Expensive and windy
The Effel Tower seems to be a favourite among tourists, including me. I personally find it not to be worthwhile. First of all, the entrance fee of 60F is a bit high just to get up there. And, the long queue and waiting time seems never ending. An advice, never go up there during windy days. The winds are strong and you get frozen in no time. I don't recommend old people to get up to the top of the tower since it is easy to get dizzy. However, the ...

Tour Eiffel Review ofTour Eiffel, Parisby

Advantages: Lots of places to go Disadvantages: A little dirty
In Paris, there is a lot to do. I went to visit the Eiffel Tower, which you can go up either by elevator or walk up, and on every level, there is a gift shop, and binoculars to look out at the scenery with. After that, you can eat at the Eiffel Tower resturant, which is beautiful. The food was filling and excellent. After that, on the way back to the hotel, we stopped by at one of the market stalls to buy some fresh sea food, and to do some shopping. ...
