Advantages: great views if weather is good Disadvantages: see op!
I have to say, it is big, it is beautiful and it is a masterpiece, but it is full of money grabbing low-lifers and it costs a lot of money. You want to go up if it is a nice day, but if it is cold, windy, cloudy or murky, don’t bother, because it’s just not worth it! Oh yeah, and don’t buy any of the souvenirs on it, as you can get them half price underneath!
The size of the tower is amazing! There is a block of flats the same ...

Advantages: You'll feel you've DONE a landmark Disadvantages: You might feel you wasted a day, or afternoon
...our family anyway! La Tour Eiffel's whole "raison d'etre" was its height, at the time it was built, but due to the heights that newer structures can reach in our day and age, its height alone is no longer enough to recommend it!
It was built to commemorate the French Revolution and stands 30 metres high. There is a useful website, particularly for families, which I checked out, but interestingly their views and recommendations eerily echoed ours! ...

The stairs Review ofTour Eiffel, Parisby
Yohann-Emmanuel
Advantages: See Paris and suburbs from the top Disadvantages: Well ... you have to pay
Last sunday I dated a girl that I met on Ciao France. We broke yesterday by the way ... We decided to go to the Eiffel Tower after having a drink at a café. Then, I said to her : "That's cheaper and fun by the stairs." She was not really enthousiastic but we paid the ticket ( 3,3 euros each, 12 euros by elevators ) and begin to go upstair.
The first time I go up the tower I was eleven. I remember that was boring. Sunday, this was my second time ...

Advantages: value for money, stunning views, history! Disadvantages: only if you dont like hights!!
having just returned from holiay to Paris France, the most enjoyable experience was the Eiffel tower.
after doing the run of the mill theme parks and historic buildings we then went to the tower to find it was very good value for money and the best attraction out of them all!
£6 for adults and half for kids it beats them all hands down.
stunning views all over the city, and it also looks great at night from the Arc De Triomph.
if you are in the ...

Advantages: A dazzling display of twinkling illuminations. Disadvantages: Can’t think of any.
I’ve seen the Tower on quite a few occasions over the past 15 years but never have I seen it quite like it is at the moment. At night the whole Tower twinkles with myriads upon myriads of little lights randomly spaced up and down the Tower. The effect is quite mesmerising and must be more so if you’ve never seen the Tower before. The display seems to be at random intervals and lasts for approximately 15 minutes. I’ve viewed it from between the legs ...

Paris is a tourist city and as such it offers a number of attractions that you are likely to see when you visit the city. The first is the famous Eiffel Tower (Tour Eiffel to give it its proper French name). Possibly the biggest attraction it is also quite boring when you get to the top. When you have taken in the views in, little else remains except to pay the exorbitant prices for a drink and a meal. Next is the Sacre-Coer, again incredibly boring. ...
