...no exception to this rule! Travel city at the time I booked my last holiday were the cheapest I found on the teletext, and as the other opinions say on here a lot of the last minute deals that are advertised are never available when you phone for them. ...now, last June was with Travel City Direct and I cannot think of a single problem we experienced that affected our holiday. Booking was easy, the staff helpful and polite. Of course they try to sell you more than you want so do some research, I found much cheaper better value insurance, park tickets than they offered for instance. Used Travel City in 2005 NEVER AGAIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here is a copy of the letter I sent to TCD to which got a standard reply in other words they didnt want to know. ...a villa in Florida with Travel city direct and I have to admit that it was the best experience of my life. This was our 3rd trip to Florida and our first experience with travel city villas. The last two times we went Florida we booked the villa with other company’s. i have flown with travel city direct now for the last three years when i go to florida, i have found them the cheapest company and very helpfull. every time i have used other companies to fly i have found either the cabin crew ignorant or the planes to small, oh and the food stinks. when going on a long haul flight you need maximum comfort throughout your trip and i find that they are 5 star in all aspects. the plane was enormous and had plenty of ... ...day passes, that is the travel agents in the UK that sell them and that Disney cannot change them to Lifetime passes. If we had the 7 day pass they could have done it but definitely not the 14 day. We went to the Travelcity Direct office in Orlando and explained the situation and the gentleman there phoned Disney and they confirmed what we had been told at the Disney desk. Watch out for the over inflated Car Hire prices! yes the flights are good value and TCD have great offers for families looking to stay in Disney hotels. But we booked the fly drive package only to find out that the car hire was £200 more than we could have got ourselves with Dollar who TCD use. When I wrote in to complain they stated that if we dropped the car hire they would put the air fare up! This is blatant price fixing! i'm sure its not legal.

used tcd in 2005 and only problem we had was there were no seat -back tv s and the plane was old french 747. used tcd after we were dumped in new jersey the previous year by continental and would recommend to anyone.-- (even though we took off from sandford just as hurrican wilma hit) overall very good value .

After reading the other reviews posted, I was seriously worried about my first flight with TCD to Florida for the Easter hols. I am very fussy & normally fly everywhere with either continental or emirates Business class but amazing low costs for their TCD's Sunshine First had tempted me!! We arrived at airport prepared for a hellish flight but I can honestly say we had a fabulous one. The seats were exactly like Business Class seats, pitch not quite as good as some, but still very good. The only difference really would be the recline, they do not recline fully into a bed like seat, but they recline enough to make you comfy. The meals we had were excellent. The staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly and professional. The first film was shown on a screen at the front of the cabin, we were in rows 2 & 3 and had no problems seeing it and then the crew gave us personal screens with many entertainment options including games. I think economy had to pay £10 for these. There were no delays and the return journey was just as good. The crew were lovely & I will be bookling them again for flights to USA and would definately recommend them.

...we paid a visit to travel city directs office on lake buena vista regarding a transfer as we feel we could not settle in the villa as the ease on which they got in had to be seen to be believed. The tcd rep adam (little american with a big attitude) said he had arranged for us to be transferred to an hotel on international drive and for us to hand our villa keys in. Have you spent hours looking through teletext for holiday bargains only to find that they are not available when you get round to booking them - I have. Travel city direct, specialise in flights to Orlando and unlike others, when you ring them, the advertised flights are available at the advertised prices.
