...NOT BOOK A HOLIDAY WITH TRAVEL REPUBLIC. I am writing this because we’ve been through hell and I genuinely don’t want anyone else to experience what we have because of this awful company. I have been fighting for 5 months, trying to get compensation to no avail. We booked with TR due to them being the only travel company to have the particular hotel we wanted. The consultant I conversed with couldn't have been more helpful, my tickets arrrived in plenty of time and all arrangements made through Travel Republic were spot - on!!! We used Travel Republic for our last 2 holidays, booking a package of flights, accom and transfers. Hotel and flights were fine but transfers were an absolute rip-off. We booked a taxi transfer to include two child seats at £108. Of course, there were no child seats when we got there and all they did was put us in the queue in the taxi rank outside the airport where we had to wait for a taxi. Had we done this ourselves instead of booking the transfer through Travel Republic it would have cost 30 euros return! We're having no joy getting a refund for the car seats partly because the company travel republic used had passed the booking onto someone else, great! ...

udalla apts very basic rooms in need of upgrade especially bathroom and kitchenette minimal kitchen equipment. staff very helpful and friendly went on half board basis food not really upto much but after saying that if your looking for self catering on the cheap you cant really complain, you can always get a sunbed around the pool. its about 10-15 in walk to veronicas but plenty pubs and restaurants near and not to far from beach. Tip - try to get room in block away from main road if your on a low floor with no air conditioning it gets very hot as it doesnt feel safe to leave patio doors open. ...

We booked flights, transfers and accommodation (destination Paphos) with Travel Republic. They called me to inform me that EasyJet had cancelled the flight, I could have had a refund, but as I really preferred the holiday they suggested that I look for another flight and then call them. Within 2 hours everything was sorted. They were great. We have used them before and all was so efficient. Taxi transfer was a bit pricey. That was our only negative experience. I think that they are far more reliable than booking directly with an airline. ...

Beware of unexpected charges for credit cards. When I selected to pay by credit card there was no indication of a transaction fee in the drop-down menu (as is common practice on the web). After complaining, I was told that a new line appears higher up the screen showing a 2% charge in small type. There's no reason why you'd notice this as it's not visible unless you scroll backwards. Even then its not shown in the much larger "Total Cost" figure. ...
