Trent Barton are a private company, that run bus routes throughout Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. They mainly service the towns and villages that are set apart from the main town centres. Due to the fleet being renewed on a fairly regular basis they are always mechanically reliable, in all my years of using the service I have never had one break down on me (unlike some of the other bus companies I have been so unfortunate to have had to use!) Trent and Barton buses are the main operators of buses in the Nottingham and Derby areas. They also operate long-distance services to Chesterfield, Manchester and Leicester. The company have been upgrading and altering routes, in order to get the best service possible to some places. This has meant the removal of services, or retiming. I live on the outskirts of Nottingham and, as i have no car, busses are often the only way I can get around. The ONLY bus service that operates through my area is Trent Barton (the rainbow 4 service and the 15, 18/32 and commuter express services).
