Advantages: Fantastic rides, shows and 3d films to do with the Movies Disadvantages: You can't drive the replica Delorean
Universal Studios, located in sunny Orlando, is all about bringing the movies to life or at least turning them into state of the art shows, 3D films and rides. It is a working studio and television programmes are made and broadcast from there. But for this review we are looking at the Theme Park - a place to shoot Aliens, be stalked by sharks and monsters and see parts of blockbuster film franchises not available anywhere else (except at other Universal ... ...staying at any of the Universal Hotels, there are large car parks and most hotels on International Drive have free buses that go there every morning. The car parks and bus parks are linked to City Walk and both parks are a five minute walk from the entrance via City Walk. You can technically walk there from International Drive but this would probably involve running very fast to avoid cars. Taxis will take you there but you can also use the Lynx ...

Universal Studios Orlando
Location
The Universal Studios I am going to talk about is in Orlando Florida. It is situated only a few miles away from International Drive.
From the main hotels on International Drive, take a left onto Universal Boulevard just after Wet 'n Wild. It is very well signposted; there have been large improvements in directions in the last few years, this has been one of many initiatives by local government.
The Park
Rides
... ...Another 'real' ride in Universal is Twister. You line up around old props from the film (like most queues) then enter a big room with two screens at the front. The two lead stars of Twister, Jo and Bill Harding appear and tell of how devastating a Twister can be and how real the filming felt. This all hypes you up for the actual ride. You enter a corridor filled with Props and then a kind of football stand. This is the setting for the Twister. Before ...

...two week trip to Florida Universal was being built into the second week of our stay and on a saturday we visited Universal Studios Florida.
Out of all of the parks this was the one that I was most looking forward to this one as I had high expectation that this was the place to visit in Florida.

...wife and I have visited Universal Studios about four times now, we have been to the one in Florida and the one in California.
California is a little bit smaller than the Florida one but it's still a brilliant day out.
The park is quite big, it has some brilliant rides, like Back to the future. You firstly go in a lift, there are screens in the lift showing a quick movie clip. You then get into the car from the movie, about six people can fit into ... ...for under £7.00, with the Universal logo on.
What I like about this park is that you can visit in the morning, then go back at night for the entertainment, you just get your hand stamped.
I can't remember the entrance fee, I think it was in the region of £25 per person, it really is a guess. You can buy passes and return the next day free of charge if you like.
The opening times are 9am until 12pm some days.
They might have changed now, we went ...

...is about the beautiful, magnificent universal studios in Orlando Florida. I have actually visited this attraction on three separate occasions, once when I was eight, again when I was thirteen and just recently when I was 21, and to be honest it gets better and better each time, and I preferred my last visit, primarily because it made me feel more childlike and made me look back on when I was younger. History: Universal studios first opened on June 1990 and became universals second theme park after the original one was opened in Hollywood, its huge size and attractions made it a direct competitor with Disney Land, which had been around for many years. I have reviewed Universal Islands Of Adventure, so it is only natural that I review it's sister park as well.
Again, I would definately recommend purchasing the Express pass when visiting as this lets you skip the really long queues and get straight onto the ride. ...your holiday in Orlando then Universal Studios is a must see attraction. The theme park is wonderfully set out with hundreds of items of film memorabilia ranging from the 20s through to the present day.
