The year 2000 may be famous to most as the start of a new millennium, the year they told us our computers would all crash because they could not handle the date changes or the year they built so many pointless buildings and monuments worldwide but for me and many other Blackpool pleasure beach fans it will always be the year that Valhalla came to town. ...on (in my opinion!) is Valhalla, is why is it so good? Well for starters it is a pretty long log flume so you really feel you’ve been on a ride. Then there are all the extra elements to it that make it truly unique. I should start off by saying that first off the theme of the ride is extremely well done - it has been made to look like you have gone back in time to when the Vikings were around - the boats, that look like miniature Viking ships, fit ...
...The ride starts by taking riders inside the huge building so for first time riders it can be a bit daunting not knowing what is inside! Once inside the boat immediately takes the long route up flagged by barking dogs and flames on either side along with a Viking at the very top shouting out to you. Valhalla was opened in 2000, replacing the “Fun House” that burnt down so tragically in November 1991. It was a £15million development and contains effects not seen in the UK before. Be prepared as you “travel into the immortal resting place of the Vikings”. It goes by the motto “You WILL get wet… You might get soaking” and I can’t tell you how true this is, there’s no escaping wetness. Valhalla can be seen when you enter the park’s entrance closest ...

This is a spectacular dark ride situated at Blackpool's Pleasure Beach which I had the experience of riding with my family yesterday.....It is not for the faint-hearted. My daughter is 11 and she was terrified. After riding yesterday she refused to go on anything else - she was in a bit of shock and very very wet. Valhalla is a log flume based ride which is based on vikings. It is a ride which can be enjoyed by everybody, especially those young adults. The viking ships, which seats about 12 people add a bonus to that scary but fun ride. It is quite dark which also adds to the scary experience! I would recommend it to those older children as it is quite scary but if your brave, then maybe this is your ride. At the final descending point, it is very dark and ...

After that you move into a pitch black room which suddenly lights up with lots of pyrotechnics. it gives you a little fright but is humid so it could in fact dry you off a bit. After the ride, you will feel very wet and soggy, so prepare with a valhalla raincoat or a waterproof. if you didnt, you can get airdried by a massive air dryer which dries you off in a couple of minutes. recently just took a ride on blackpools vallhalla. IF YOU DON'T WANNA GET WET DO NOT GO ON THIS RIDE ITS NOT LIKE 1 OF THE OTHER PUSHOVER WATER RIDES YOU GET VERY VERY WET it has cool special effects and has some great drops, you go through a fire, ice, water, steam room(s) yes the fire and ice/snow is reel so don't touch :) this ride is suitable for any ages from 10 upwards really. it's the ghost train packed with water and a whole lot of fun ...
