Vancouver International Airport (YVR)

We arrived at Vancouver international airport on a flight from London Heathrow. I am afraid to say that upon arrival we had a connecting flight to make to Vancouver Island (Via float plane) so I did not have chance to take much in as it was bit of a rush due to out flight being an hour late arriving. Vancouver is universally acknowledged as Canada's most beatiful city, and its airport (YVR) doesn't disappoint either. Flew in to Vancouver from Gatwick in July. Despite continued security alerts I found the process of arrival very smooth. Yes there was a lengthy queue through immmigration but this continued to move in a snakelike fashion with plentry of staff around to move us through. As with immigration in the USA my partner and I were grilled for about 5 minutes on our purpose in Canada, our travel plans and return arrangements. If you are an independent traveller ...
