    Venice Boardwalk is a one of a kind place. No where in the world will you find a stretch this wierd and intersting. Right next to the beach, venice is a great way to spend a few hours or a whole day in Los Angeles. It passes through Muscle Beach as well, which is an outdoor gym. The boardwalk is lined with small shops and tatoo parlours on one side and vendors on the other. Also, there are human statues, comedians, and picture opputunities. The parking is a little bit expensive if you take your own car, but the shops and vendors are fairly cheap. If you have never been to Venice Boardwalk ... more

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Didn't feel safe at night

    Having visited L.A in an extremely rainy period, I was delighted to arrive at venice boardwalk in the beautiful Californain sun! Venice boardwalk is full of characters, including a vibrant singing dude on skates, an entertaining guy who jumped on smashed glass and fairly nutty ball of muscle who you can't seem to take your eyes off! These kind of characters usually require tipping in exchange for having your photo taken with them. Great fun, great stalls including some beautiful artwork and a gorgeous beach which made me feel like I was on baywatch (and yes, cute lifeguards). Only one down ... more
