Vieille Ville (Old Town), Nice

I visited Nice with my college last week and had a great time there. It was very hot and sunny and it was perfect for sunbathing on the beach and swimming in the sea. As well as the great weather there is loads to do in and around Nice, and in particular you can visit the old town (or Vieille Nice as it is known there). During the day the old town is very busy with a large food market full of all local produce from fish to bread. The old part of Nice is certainly an exciting place in places. It has interesting entertainment down on the front by the beach, and it has got some good places to go out. A great time really can be had, chez Waynes in particular is one of the best places i have ever been to. Having gone there almost every night, for the great atmosphere, great music and of course everyone up dancing on the tables. It is almost a neccesity to visit whilst in Nice. I also found the McMahons pub to be great venue to meet fellow English speaking people, and conveniently was in very close distance to waynes ... more
