Advantages: Seamless journey from home to destination. The best airport lounges anywhere.
Disadvantages: Unsure about the new seat. Staff were friendly but not outstanding. Price is for when someone else is paying!

...the service you get from Virgin in Upper Class, then I hope you’ll find this very useful. I've flown Virgin Economy several times and on the whole they're very good so I would always choose them over the majority of the competition. ...because when you fly with virgin all food and drink is completely free, as much as you want. Then came the food which I must say is the best plain food I've ever had. There was a choice of three meals, one was a vege option. But they also offer you the chance to pre-book your meal if you had any special dietry requirements. ...occassions to the USA with Virgin Atlantic. The 1st was to and from Washington DC (Economy Class) and the second into JFK New York, and out of O'Hare Chicago (Business Class). At all times I was offered the utmost courtesy and service. Not once did I have to go out of my way in getting what I wanted. We'd flown twice before with Virgin Atlantic, both times to Boston and had good experiences each time, so we had no hesitation in booking our 'once in a lifetime' trip to Florida to see Mickey & friends, with Virgin Holidays. What we hadn't bargained for though (naively, perhaps) was that all the Economy seats would be booked more than 8 months in advance. ...always heard the hype of Virgin Atlantic. Lets face it, they are hard to miss when they are owned by Sir Richard Branson! Disadvantages: Needs more leg room and space/comfort in seats, quite expensive and not very impressive duty free selection

Ive only used Virgin Atlantic Airlines twice so far, both times to America, but I would say without hesitating that id definitely use them again. Especially for long flights. I guess it depends on what each individual has experienced, but from when Ive travelled with them Ive never had any problems and found them to provide a very good service. ...2001. We were flying Virgin Atlantic as our companions were collecting the air-miles, not because of price. I must admit the check-in at London Heathrow was a doddle and we timed it just right before the queing started, (4 hours before the flight). We boarded on time but were delayed about 30 minutes. Disadvantages: Absolutely NO customer support, or caring for customers.
