...my opnions saying how fabulous Virgin was, I have experienced the opposite on this trip back from Miami. I had been on a cruise and at the end of the cruise I had to fly back from Miami Airport. I was told I could check in around 12.45pm for the 6 oclock flight.The check in desk never opened until 1.30pm and when I got to the desk I was told the flight would be delayed by 5 hours. ...good airline. I went with virgin as their in-flight services seemed to be quite good and for a long flight time this was beneficial to me. They have a selection of movies for you to watch during the flight that are quite good and cater for most tastes. The films were pretty recent with some not even seen on a Uk cinema screen yet. I've only flown with Virgin Atlantic once and it was by default. Having changed my ticket home from Auckland and no longer flying LA to London with BA, the next cheapest was Virgin. Needless to say having had the journey from hell, having all my luggage stolen in NZ before flying out, and travelling alone, I wasn't a happy bunny at all. The flight with Air New Zealand was busy and cramped with little leg room and a couple of moaners on either side ...

I find it very odd that there is only one Airline that flies directly to Vegas from London Airports. That of course is Virgin. There are several that fly off to Amsterdam first and then onto the USA. I dont really fancy the idea of flying away, stoping, unloading all the baggage and then getting a connecting flight. It means on my week long vacation, Im gonna spend about 2 days solid travelling. That is quite a lot. Its at least 350 quid to fly out ...

I flew with Virgin Atlantic back in October 2006 from Gatwick to Florida, after flying with them to New York a few months previous, after having such a pleasant experience. We were let down on our departure by finding out there was a technical fault with the plane and to our disappointment out flight was delayed 21 hours to the following day! Not happy!! To make matters worse, the way in which the situation was dealt with by the staff was appalling. ...
