Virgin Express
The airline Virgin Express is not exactly the same company as Virgin Atlantic, it is Virgin’s budget sector airline, that I think it is run by Sabena, the official Belgium carrier. This means that you cannot use your Virgin Atlantic Airmiles to buy tickets or use the frequent flyer program to speed up check in, basically they operate a similar service to EasyJet and Go.
Last year I bought tickets for four people to Rome from ... ...but to be fair to Virgin Express the price is very reasonable, and you must be prepared to accept potential problems if your journey includes a connection. Delays are not usually the fault of the airline, in this case it was bad weather in Brussels. If I require flights to Europe again, I will definitely check the prices on their website and possibly use them as a carrier if there are large price differences. ...

...thing to note is the Virgin Express is completely different from Virgin Atlantic, if you mix them up, you might be in for a nasty shock! Virgin Express is the 'budget' or no-frills airline from Virgin and the reason that it isn't, perhaps, as well-known as some of the others (Go, Ryanair, Easyjet) is that it is based out of Brussels rather than the UK. There are direct flights to Shannon from London, but other than that, all flights are routed via ... ...a bargain by travelling with Virgin and they certainly offer a wide range of destinations. They fly from Gatwick, Heathrow or Stansted, to Brussels, and from Brussels you are offered a wide range of destinations, including Barcelona, Madrid, Rome, Milan, Berlin and many more that I can't remember! The pricing policy is remarkably transparent (for an airline). If you book a little in advance, most flights are £99 if you chose the earliest or latest ...

...that this Op is in Virgin express section and don't mind it being rated down becasue of this, I already have an Op on Virgin Atlantic in the right place but in I felt it import to associate these additional remarks with Virgin Atlantic here and not Virgin Express which although associated with the Mother Comapny ( Virgin) is actually a separate company operating out of Brussels....

...was my first flight with Virgin Airlines. I flew with my husband, mother -in -law and 3 month old baby. We were allocated the bulkhead seats so that I could use the "Sky cots" which Virgin provide free of charge, but I kept my baby on my lap for the whole (12 hour) flight and used the extra space to stretch out. The seat back entertainment was good, with a variety of films, programmes and computer games to play, but as it was a night flight I didn't ...

Advantages: Good customer service Disadvantages: Poor room in the economy cabin, nowhere to rest your head to sleep.
...have recently started traveling with Virgin and must admit I looked forward to their legendary customer service on the transatlantic route.
True to form their service was good, on the ground and in the air. From check in onwards the staff seem prep;ared to go the extra mile to make the journey more enjoyable for all.
Where I feel Virgin let themselves down is in the area of comfort on board. I am not a little person, especially in the waist area, ... ...head against.
In conclusion, Virgin are good, but need to give a little more space to their economy travelers especially on the very long haul flights. Will I fly them again? Yes, I have booked to travel to Orlando with them next April. Would I recommend them to a friend? Yes, my friends are coming with us with their children. ...

Advantages: Cheap to fly with Disadvantages: have to go through Brussels to get to almost all of their destinations
I've flown with Virgin Express a number of times and I've got to say it ... this Brussels based low fares airline has got to be the best in the business. When they say low fares, they really mean low fares and, ok, so the in-flight service doesn't really come to much but I think a drink or two is all one really needs to get through a flight ! Well done to old Richard Branson even though he doesn't own the airline anymore (the Virgin Group still does) ... ...made simple for even a first time flyer. Staff are relatively pleasant (compared to some of the leading world airlines) and they usually speak a whole array of european languages making the passengers feel confident that they can communicate with them.

...family and I flew with Virgin Atlantic last year to Florida. The flight was superb and we had no complaints. As an individual who dislikes flying and only flies when 'needs must' I found myself at ease on this flight. The cabin staff were great and helped to alay my fears. Their overall professionalism showed through too.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed things too with the recent advent of Games channels on the mini TV's and a good selection of films ... ...airline but the complimentary 'goodie bags' were a nice touch and the kids each got a ruck sack filled with all sorts of goodies.
It was my daughters birthday when we flew out and I had ordered a gift and a cake for her. These were delivered personally to her with a rousing chorus of Happy Birthday which most of the passengers joined in with.
Nice one Mr Branson. Keep it up. ...

...the airlines we approached was Virgin Atlantic. Right from the start, the staff were very friendly and helpful, and offered free tickets to the little lad and reduced cost for the parents.
They have helped in supplying in-flight special needs, as well as promising to make the lad`s journey as pleasurable as they can.
It is not often you find a large multi-million company that will do something for nothing, especially going to them direct, as most ... ...When You Wish Upon A Star.
In my opinion, all the staff at Virgin Atlantic deserve a damn good pat on the back and if you are looking for flights that not only give good in-flight service, but have the backing of a good staffing force, then look no further. ...

I first flew virgin back in 1990 and i was as impressed then as I am now - that says a lot. From the moment I stepped on the plane I was made to feel special, the cabin crew have always been so helpful in attending to me and my family. (I have three girls all aged under 5, the cabin crew bring presents and drinks and other goodies for the kids to make your flight as comfortable as possible).
The planes too are well equipt with phones, games consoles ... ...things that I like about Virgin is the quality of service from beginning to end. The food is of a much superior quality than other airlines and they will often offer vegetarian meals at late notice. The cabin crew are forever offering beverages, trying to make the flight enjoyable. The film choices too are excellent.
The planes are always clean and tidy - the cabin crew are helpful and polite. When I step on a virgin plane to go on holiday I feel ...

I recently took a Virgin flight from New York to London and thoroughly enjoyed it. Normally I get fed up with the film, other passenger noise and generally being stuck in my seat. You can imagine how pleased I was to find that on the flight I had my own film screen, with a wide variety of films to choose from. I could also play games on the screen as well as see where we were on the journey home. By the time I had watched a couple of films and played ... ...of Duty Free items was as good as I have seen on any flight, meaning I could get what I needed without the hassle of having to carry the items around the airport with me.
I I have a choice in the future I will pick Virgin for sure. ...

I flew with Virgin to the US earlier this year and I can quite honestly say they were the best airline I have ever flown with.It may have cost me a few extra pounds more than flying with an airline like EasyJet or Britannia but it is well worth it. The only thing that was similar to other airlines was the lack of leg space, but apart from that,Virgin was a cut above the rest.
Its just the little things like complementary drinks,your own tv screen ... ...for headphones and alike, but Virgin supply these little things for free just to make your journey that little bit easier. Also the staff were very friendly and helpfull and the flight was punctual. I wouldnt hesitate to fly with them again when I next go abroad. Well done Virgin Airlines! (I wish I could say the same about the trains!) ...

...an opportunity to fly with Virgin Express from Stansted, for the piffling sum of £75 (including taxes) return. For that price I expected little, but Virgin really delivered the goods.
The plane itself was well maintained, and the seats offered a remarkable degree of comfort. Snacks were available on the flight at a price, but they had the decency to throw in a free drink. The skill and friendliness of the cabin crew also put that of some major airlines ... ...it also struck me that Virgin Express was given equal priority with larger carriers; far from expecting to be delayed in some way as we were enjoying the benefits of saving money, we departed and arrived on time on both occasions.
Virgin Express offers great value for money, and safe, punctual travel. These three things come together in a terrific package which deserves to be tried out by anyone with a desire to go to Brussels (most of their continental ...
