Voyager Beach Resort, Mombasa

...welcome aboard the good ship Voyager is how we were greeted to our accomodation in Kenya. As you have proabably already read or guessed this whole complex is based on a cruise ship which can be great fun from the raising of the flag in the gardens, to the cabins (or rooms) decor, to the lunch horn making all the newbies jump of the sunbed its so loud, to the docking in a different country everyday. ...the wine tasted better in the restaurant than at the bars, Allsopps is the beer to go for my husband said which is in a bottle, hes wasnt so keen on the draught Tusker. There was also the cocktails list of the day which had 3 or 4 diffferent ones to try. Unfortunately we wernt that impressed with the food. The quality was very good, but the variation not so great. If you are vegetarian you'll have a fab time, there is a vege section as well as loads ...

Review of Voyager Beach Resort, Mombasa

This hotel was the last hotel i stayed in when i went to Kenya with my High School for a performing arts tour. After an exhausting but VERY exciting 7days we arrived at the beautiful hotel and its welcoming staff. Set overlooking the Nyali beach 7KM North of Mombassa, it was more of a complex of accomodation rooms, 233 in all, with 83 having sea views and the rest views on to either the 4 pools or lush gardens, the rooms were also spotlessly clean ...
...electronic safe and spacious bathrooms with a balcony straight out onto a grassy area infront of your room. The buffet spread put on for every meal was amazing! Breakfast was served from 7am-10am which was very helpful and gave you more leaisurly freedom. kenyan aswell as english food were put out and cooked right infront of you, plus with it being all inclusive, the cocktails went down very well!(non alcoholic ofcourse!) Me and my girlfriend spent 2weeks in this resort from late december to to january. We found that the staff will bend over backwards to help you in any way or form. on new years eve they put a garden party on for us and the efforts that they had gone too were very impressive. One very good thing i noticed is there are no mosquitos, apparently farmers spray their crops with a chemical that keeps them away. Beatiful pools, the adult pool over looks ...
...activities on throughout the day. the only thing that bothered us was people trying to sell safari's on the beach were becoming a bit of a nuiscance by the end of the holiday. other than that we thouroghly enjoyed it and intend to go back next year. would recommend this hotel before any other in mombassa. ...
