...from 4 nights in The Wellington Hotel. We booked it back in Jan'07 thru an online hotel booking site (I may have mentioned it in other reviews) We also booked flights directly with BA thru their website. Disadvantages: Tired and Dated Hotel :-(

We booked up The Wellington Hotel for Seven Nights on the Alpharooms website (cheapest we could find) for two people it came to £920; which is a good price for a week in a mid-range hotel in NYC. Most of the reviews read favourably, indicating that the main advantage of staying here was its location on 7th Ave/55th St. Upon entering the Hotel we were greeted with a HUGE grand looking chandelier, lighting up the reception area. Advantages: Simple, quite cheap for New York
Disadvantages: Not very modern

...2006, and for me the Wellington Hotel was a great choice! As I was 18 and it was just me and my partner, we wanted something cheap and cheerful. In the end (including flights) we paid £1,300 for 5 days, which is quite cheap for New York. When we arrived, everyone is really helpful and offer to take your bags to your room (although n.b. you do have to pay tips!).
